5th Jerseys Donation: Empowering Young Female Athletes
In early March, organizers of the girls’ Kickball club learned that another group of kids was receiving their practice uniforms. Efforts led by Gerardo Monsalve and David Cardozo have created Hitting Science Venezuela, which has been collecting donations and converting athletic clothes into colorful uniforms for youth sports leagues since 2021.
Creating Opportunities for Underserved Youth
In an effort to create more opportunities for children in this underserved region, McLean Little League donated several sets of practice uniforms to Venezuelan girls playing with a local team in El Hatillo, a beautiful town in Venezuela.
The Venezuelan Girls Kickball Team is made up of girls and young women who live in El Hatillo. These practice uniforms were presented to the girls on behalf of McLean Little League and Hitting Science Venezuela.
