Hitting is one of the most demanding skills in baseball, to become a good hitter requires great coordination of movements, good eyesight and muscular strength, perhaps for this reason it is said that good hitters are born and not make.

• For many of these players with this natural gift from birth, hitting is an art because they develop more naturally, but most who practice the sport learn this activity as a science, applying the laws and principles that govern it.

• Hitting is the most difficult motor action that exists in all sports in the world, that because it is not a free motor action, this motor action in the ball game has a fundamental, basic and decisive importance on offense, since to specify a touchdown and achieve victories, the batter has to overcome innumerable obstacles to be successful during his execution: presence of the public, variety, speed of the pitches, the pitcher’s strike zone, hitting zone, field of the field, defense of the opponent, courage, concentration, technique, training, reaction and reflex, enviable physical conditions.
