Second Jerseys Delivery: Table Tennis Dreams in San Agustín
On February 16, a set of uniforms was delivered to the San Agustín area in the city of Caracas.
David Cardozo, one of our collaborators in locating sports groups in need, connected with a small table tennis club led by Professor Jhonny Hermoso – who has more than 20 years of experience in this sport and an unwavering commitment to his students.
Teaching with Heart: One Table, Infinite Dreams
With love and dedication, they practice in the open areas of their neighborhood using public tables (only one!). Even so, Professor Johnny with heart and soul teaches his group of students with the dream of one day representing the colors of their flag in national and international competitions.
This dedication to youth development through sports is similar to what we see in our other programs, like Alexander’s table tennis program in Maracay and our baseball development initiatives.
First Uniforms in Years
We don’t know exactly when the last time was they wore uniforms, but thanks to the help received by McLean Little League, it was a great blessing for these children in the San Agustín area.
